Carbon Map

Platform and the Transport Planning Society jointly turned to UHC when looking to commission an illustrated map that would depict existing global carbon trade routes, fossil fuel production, existing consumption levels, and the ways in which these factors impact on the integrity of the global environmental.

As an alternative to the vector based data-graphic, UHC created a physical map of the world using recycled materials, hand-crafted miniature objects, pyrotechnics, photography, and a touch of CGI.

Large format prints of the finished work are housed at the Transport Planning Society’s London headquarters, and at Greenpeace UK’s offices in Canonbury Villas.
