UHC collaborated with staff and students from the School of Geography at the University of Leeds, on a residency focused primarily on propagandising new creative, grassroots alternatives to the neoliberal enclosure of cities.
The outcome was the Leeds Plan B manifesto; a carefully typeset 13 point sustainability plan for the city.
This plan was reproduced in a traditional pamphlet format, and screen-printed onto hand-painted bags of compost.
Inspired by the use of historiated initials within illuminated manuscripts, UHC also created a striking identity to accompany the work.
All of the materials produced were distributed to hundreds of passers-by in Leeds city centre.
